Christmas Fun

There was a lot of fun taking place at Serennu Centre during December. Sparkle hosted their annual Christmas party and it was wonderful to see so many families enjoying Crazy Al’s disco, the quiet area and the teen zone. It was also an opportunity for adults to enjoy a nice tea or coffee and a mince pie before the children visited Santa in his grotto.

A team of volunteers from Lloyds Bank helped prepare for the event and we would like to say a big thank you to them for the assistance they gave.

Also, a massive thank you to the staff at NEST– Welsh Government Warm Homes Scheme, who donated (and wrapped) over 300 selection boxes that Santa offered the young people on the night.

Another special treat for everybody attending, was the opportunity to choose a super gift from the donated presents Sparkle had received from the Capital Radio Toy Appeal.

We are very lucky, and grateful, to have such wonderful supporters because the services we provide are only made possible by donations and support received from grants, individuals, groups and businesses.

To continue the vital sessions and activities that Sparkle currently offer, we need to raise over £500,000 per annum, so all donations are welcomed and gratefully received.

At Serennu we are extremely fortunate to often experience goodwill and generosity. We would like to thank everybody for your continued support, and listed below are some examples of recent kind donations:

Roger and the team at Hobbs Valves, for the toys they donated.

Derek Lucas and son for the selection boxes they provided for families

The management and staff at PRISM for the toys they donated.

Las Iguanas restaurant for the Entertainer toy voucher.

Sheila and John for choosing Sparkle to benefit from their Christmas illumination event held annually at their home.

Crazy Al for providing his amazing disco free of charge
