lottery fund

Sparkle, has opened an early Christmas present from the Big Lottery Fund with news of a grant for £488,000.

The Big Lottery Fund has agreed to support “Next Step”, Sparkle’s next stage of providing activities, facilities and support to children and young people with disabilities or development difficulties approaching key milestones or transitions in their lives. Uniquely this project will also supports the parents and siblings as the Big Lottery Fund acknowledge the importance of taking a whole family approach to improving the lives and opportunities of children disadvantaged by disability.

The award, over three years will, ensure that Sparkle can provide physical, practical and emotional support and services to children, young people and other family members, including parents and siblings. We will also engage a Care Coordination Development Officer, to develop and scope a model for care coordination at Serennu, something that many of our families have been asking for.
