Sparkle Fundraising and Events Officer Vacancy

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Fundraising and Events Officer within Sparkle, based at the Serennu Children’s Centre in Newport, South Wales.  This unique, beautiful state of the art building, just off the M4, is home to an integrated day centre for children with disabilities/developmental difficulties between the ages of 0 and 18, providing health, social care and leisure opportunities in one location.  It has been built in a joint initiative between the South Gwent Children’s Foundation charity (Sparkle appeal) and ABUHB and acts as a support network for the whole family unit with a wide range of facilities and leisure activities on offer.


The successful candidate will support the Fundraising and Events Manager to deliver the annual Sparkle Fundraising and Event Strategy. They will be required to research, plan, market and deliver a portfolio of events and community fundraising activities across an assigned locality, whilst providing excellent supporter care to ensure long term commitment to Sparkle.


The post holder will also be required to undertake fundraising administration and database work relevant to the role and will be required to meet set objectives and financial targets set by trustees of Sparkle.


The successful candidate will be committed, dynamic, passionate and empathetic with the ability to ensure Sparkle is widely promoted within the region.
