Summer Fete

On Sunday 29th July, Serennu hosted their annual Summer fete. Over 300 people joined us to enjoy a few hours of fun, entertainment and lovely food. There were lots of different activities taking place including a tombola, fairground stalls, play zones and a sensory room. We were also lucky to have our local Community Police Officers and Fire Officers with us to join in with the fun, answering many questions and allowing youngsters to try on police and fire uniforms and helmets. There was also the opportunity to see fabulous cars because Krazy Kustom Cars joined us and allowed everybody to sit in each of the cars to get a better look. You can also see below that we had various characters pay a visit, and they were happy, and pleased, to interact with families and pose for photographs. Families had the pleasure of enjoying our lovely BBQ that provided delicious hot food and also the Serennu café that was offering sandwiches, drinks and snacks. Our traditional cake stall was once again selling gorgeous home made cakes for everybody to enjoy.

One mum said "thank you Sparkle. My son has never interacted with a mascot so it was lovely to see the way he was engaging with you. Sorry for the nose pokes Peppa".

The fete raised over £1000 for the Sparkle Appeal and we would like to say a big thank you to everyone who made the day a success, including all our wonderful volunteers, everybody who gave donations that were used on the day, and all the families who attended. Keep a look out for information regarding our next family event, which will be our Halloween disco on 31st October 2018
