Firewalk

Date: 05/11/2010

Location: Hilton Hotel, Newport

The Sparkle Appeal is undertaking a Firewalking event on 5th November 2010. This is the act of walking barefoot over a bed of hot embers or stones and it has a long history in many cultures as a test or proof of faith. However, this can also be used for motivational seminars and fund-raising events

Firewalking

Friday 5th November 2010

On Friday November 5th 2010 the Sparkle Appeal will be undertaking a Firewalk.  This is a test of stamina, strength and mental willpower.

Walking on fire has existed for several thousand years and in many
cultures has been used as a right of passage, healing, initiation, and faith.

This is your chance to feel the adventure and thrill of undertaking the firewalk, whilst feeling mentally reborn.  Firewalking can help you with both personal and self development as well as self exploration, showing your inner strength and determination.

Undertaking a firewalk will help you to push to the limits and beyond, focussing your mind, strengthening your body and overcoming obstacles that would take every ounce of strength and self determination.

By undertaking a firewalk you can feel:

FULFILLED, ENLIGHTENED, CLEANSED and FOCUSSED.

The phoenix has always been depicted as rising from flames and flying in the face of adversity.  The legend goes as follows:

The Phoenix is a supernatural creature, living for 500 years. Once that time is over, it builds its own funeral pyre, and throws itself into the blazing flames. As it dies, it is reborn anew, and rises from the ashes to live another 500 years…hence the reborn phoenix

Just like the legendary phoenix, will you rise triumphantly from the flames?
