Dear Families,

We hope you are all keeping well in these difficult times. Whilst we are not meeting face-to-face, we have set up an Emotional Support Phone Line for parents or carers of children with additional needs who are accessing the children’s centre services to seek support and advice. Please do give us a call if you wish to talk about how the government restrictions are impacting you or your family, or any concerns you may have about your child. We are a friendly and approachable team and we look forward to hearing from you. Please find attached the Emotional Support Phone Line flyer with the daily phone number.

The Helping Hands Psychology service also has a range of resources including social stories to help support your young person to understand the coronavirus and practical tips and ideas for relaxation and activities to support you and your child during this time.

We hope you find this Youtube video with practical ideas to support children with additional needs during lockdown helpful: Please do get in contact if you would like any further resources.

Take care and stay safe.

Best wishes,

Helping Hands Service
