Set yourself a target

Our supporters often tell us that they find it really useful to set themselves a target, as it helps them stay motivated. Think about how much you would hope to raise and make sure to share your goal with everyone. Seeing how you’re progressing will inspire people to give generously.

Make sure that you spread the word - Have you shouted about your fundraising to all of your friends, family and colleagues? Social media is perfect for updating people with your progress, asking for help and inviting people to your event - just try and give people as much notice as possible!

We would love you to share your amazing effort with us, too. You can connect with us on Facebook @sparkleappeal, Instagram @sparkleappealofficial and Twitter @thesparkleappeal.

With friends & family ★

Getting together with friends and family is the perfect place to start. Why not get fit with a sponsored walk/run, if you like cooking you could host a Come Dine With Me style event or for those who like all things trivia try hosting a quiz night!

In work ★

Raising money at work is great fun. Get work colleagues to bring in photos when they were babies for a guess who competition or stage an Office Olympics with events like who can make the most holes with a hole punch in 60 seconds.

With children ★

Raising money with children is a wonderful way of helping them learn about the importance of helping others. Fun ways to do this include talent shows, fancy dress days & yummy cake bakes!

Businesses ★

There’s lots of ways to get involved including making Sparkle your charity of the year, payroll giving, match-funding and your own fundraising events. Whatever you do our media team will support & promote your efforts.
