Social Media, Communications & Community Fundraising Officer (Serennu Children's Centre, Newport)

Job Purpose: Assist with all aspects of community fundraising and communications including taking responsibility for Sparkle’s internal and external communications, graphics, social media, website, printed media and press releases. You will work as part of a team to create and establish a portfolio of fundraising and marketing campaigns and events, create fundraising packs and other marketing materials. You will also work with the team to deliver Sparkle’s family events.

 

Play Worker (Serennu Children's Centre, Newport)

Job Purpose: Assist in day-to-day organisation of leisure services within the Serennu Children's Centre catchment area, ensuring quality play activities are facilitated within a safe and stimulating environment for children and young people aged 0 to 17 with a disability or developmental difficulty. 

 

Play Worker (Caerphilly Children's Centre, Caerphilly)

Job Purpose: Assist in day-to-day organisation of leisure services within the Caerphilly Children's Centre catchment area, ensuring quality play activities are facilitated within a safe and stimulating environment for children and young people aged 0 to 17 with a disability or developmental difficulty. 

 

Play Worker (Blaina ICC, Blaenau Gwent)

Job Purpose: Assist in day-to-day organisation of leisure services within the Nevill Hall Children's Centre catchment area, ensuring quality play activities are facilitated within a safe and stimulating environment for children and young people aged 0 to 17 with a disability or developmental difficulty. 

 

Lifeguard (Serennu Children's Centre, Newport)

Job Purpose: To ensure all children, young people and their families accessing the Serennu hydrotherapy pool experience a welcoming, friendly, fun and safe environment that is fit for purpose, resulting in maximum enjoyment and repeat usage of fascilities. 

 

Volunteering Vacancies

Swim Volunteer (Serennu)The role of the swim volunteer is to offer assistance to children/young people with disabilities and/or developmental difficulties from within the swimming pool, under the supervision of a swimming teacher. Sparkle will provide STA Aquatic Helper training to all volunteers and following the completion of a six-month volunteering programme, successful candidates will be appointed as aquatic helpers (a paid role within Sparkle). 

 


Swim Volunteer (Crownbridge)The role of the swim volunteer is to offer assistance to children/young people with disabilities and/or developmental difficulties from within the swimming pool, under the supervision of a swimming teacher. Sports & Activities Volunteer: The role of the sports & activities volunteer is to support or assist with sport & activity sessions for children & young people with a disability and/or developmental difficulty providing them with the opportunity to take part in activities, meet new people and develop skills. 

 
 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


Sparkle Leisure Volunteer (Caerphilly): The role of the sports & activities volunteer is to support children/young people with disabilities and/or developmental difficulties to be more confident and engage in play, assisting them with opportunities to participate in activities and develop new skills.
