Cymorth ariannol yn helpu Sparkle i barhau â'r Gwasanaeth Cyswllt Teuluol hanfodol
Gall cael rhywun sy'n gwrando, yn deall ac yn gwybod ble i droi wneud gwahaniaeth gwirioneddol i deuluoedd plant a phobl ifanc ag anableddau neu anawsterau datblygiadol.
I fwy na 1,800 o rieni a gofalwyr ledled Gwent, mae Swyddogion Cyswllt Teuluoedd Sparkle yn darparu'r gefnogaeth honno, gan helpu teuluoedd i lywio gwasanaethau, dod o hyd i wybodaeth ymarferol a chysylltu ag eraill a allai fod yn mynd trwy brofiadau tebyg.
Nawr, mae cyllid gan Gronfa Gymunedol y Loteri Genedlaethol trwy ei rhaglen Gwobrau i Bawb, ynghyd â chefnogaeth gan Slater a Gordon, yn helpu Sparkle i barhau i ddarparu'r Gwasanaeth Cyswllt Teuluol i deuluoedd ledled y rhanbarth.
Rhywun i droi ato
Mae Swyddogion Cyswllt Teulu wedi'u lleoli yng nghanolfannau plant Sparkle ac yn cefnogi teuluoedd mewn sawl ffordd wahanol.
Gallai hynny olygu helpu rhiant neu ofalwr i ddod o hyd i'r gwasanaeth neu'r gweithiwr proffesiynol cywir, eu cefnogi gyda ffurflenni, dod o hyd i adnoddau defnyddiol neu helpu rhywun i wneud synnwyr o'r gwahanol wasanaethau a chymorth sydd ar gael i'w plentyn.
Weithiau, gall cael rhywun sy'n deall ac yn cymryd yr amser i wrando fod yr un mor bwysig. Mae'r tîm hefyd yn trefnu grwpiau cymorth i rieni, gweithdai, boreau coffi a sesiynau galw heibio, gan roi cyfleoedd i deuluoedd gwrdd â'i gilydd, rhannu profiadau a chael mynediad at wybodaeth a chefnogaeth gan sefydliadau eraill.

'Roeddwn i eisiau manteisio ar y cyfle hwn i roi gwybod i chi pa mor ddiolchgar ydyn ni i gael FLO yn ymuno â ni yn ein boreau coffi misol. Mae hi'n amhrisiadwy i ni ac yn berson mor hyfryd, hygyrch. I gael rhywun rydyn ni'n ei adnabod i gyfeirio pobl ato a hyd yn oed yn well ei chael hi'n cerdded drwy'r drws pan fyddwn yn cwrdd â rhieni ar ddechrau eu taith. Mae'n gweithio mor dda.'
Helpu teuluoedd i gael mynediad at y cymorth sydd ei angen arnynt
Mae cyllid elusennol yn chwarae rhan bwysig wrth helpu Sparkle i barhau â gwasanaethau fel Ymgysylltu a Teuluoedd, ac mae cyfraniadau diweddar gan Gronfa Gymunedol y Loteri Genedlaethol a Slater and Gordon yn cefnogi'r gwaith o ddarparu'r gwasanaeth yn barhaus.
Dyfarnodd Cronfa Gymunedol y Loteri Genedlaethol gyllid drwy ei rhaglen Gwobrau i Bawb fel cyfraniad tuag at Wasanaeth Cyswllt Teuluoedd Sparkle, gan helpu'r tîm i barhau i ddarparu gwybodaeth, arweiniad a chefnogaeth ymarferol i deuluoedd ledled Gwent.
Mae cefnogaeth gan Slater and Gordon hefyd yn mynd y tu hwnt i'w gyfraniad i'r gwasanaeth. Having someone who listens, understands and knows where to turn can make a real difference for families of children and young people with disabilities or developmental difficulties.
Funding Support Helps Sparkle Continue Vital Family Liaison Service
For more than 1,800 parents and carers across Gwent, Sparkle’s Family Liaison Officers (FLOs) provide that support, helping families navigate services, find practical information and connect with others who may be going through similar experiences.
Now, funding from The National Lottery Community Fund through its Awards for All programme, together with support from Slater and Gordon, is helping Sparkle continue providing the Family Liaison Service to families across the region.
Someone to turn to
Family Liaison Officers are based at Sparkle’s children’s centres and support families in many different ways.
That might mean helping a parent or carer find the right service or professional, supporting them with forms, finding useful resources or simply helping someone make sense of the different services and support available to their child.
Sometimes, having someone who understands and takes the time to listen can be just as important. The team also organises parent support groups, workshops, coffee mornings and drop-in sessions, giving families opportunities to meet one another, share experiences and access information and support from other organisations.
Recent feedback from parents shows the difference that support can make:
‘Thank you so much, you have put me on a different path, that now seems brighter. It is lovely someone understands and is really taking the time to listen.’
Another parent shared:
‘I just wanted to take this opportunity to let you know how grateful we are to have a FLO join us at our monthly coffee mornings. She’s invaluable to us and such a lovely, approachable person. To have someone that we know to refer people to and even better to have her walk through the door when we meet parents at the start of their journey. It just works so well.’
Helping families access the support they need
Charitable funding plays an important part in helping Sparkle continue services like Family Liaison, and recent contributions from The National Lottery Community Fund and Slater and Gordon are supporting the ongoing delivery of the service.
The National Lottery Community Fund awarded funding through its Awards for All programme as a contribution towards Sparkle’s Family Liaison Service, helping the team continue providing practical information, guidance and support to families across Gwent.
Support from Slater and Gordon also goes beyond its contribution to the service. Through its partnership with Sparkle, families can access free online legal advice sessions, offering an opportunity to speak directly with legal experts about issues including clinical negligence, medical care and treatment, employment law and family law.
