Sparkle recently had the pleasure of receiving a donation of £22,000 from Ordinary 2 Extraordinary (O2e) last month.
O2e are a community of fundraisers who raise money throughout the year to improve the lives of children who are in need of help due to disability or illness. Sparkle is one of seven children's charities that O2e support with an annual donation.
Since 2012, O2e have been a tremendous support of Sparkle, regularly funding projects and activities for our children and young people.
Last year, O2e's annual donation funded a residential trip for 22 young people, 10 of whom had never been away from home before, providing them with an unforgettable experience that a lot of young people we support might not have had the opportunity to attend otherwise.
Sparkle's founder and trustee Sabine Maguire who attended the O2e presentation event this year said:
"We are so grateful to O2e for their incredible donation of £22,000. We know how hard they all worked - running, cycling, horseshoe tossing and cake baking, to name but a few fundraising activities.
You have given our children the opportunity of a lifetime on their outward-bound adventure. Like O2e, they took on huge challenges climbing, abseiling and more - despite their physical difficulties. Their pride and joy in meeting these challenges was inspiring. We cannot thank you enough."
We are looking forward to all fundraising challenges that O2e have set themselves in 2024, especially their 16th annual cycling challenge in France this September.
