We’re delighted to share that our recent Stay & Play sessions in Torfaen Community Venues have been a fantastic success, with families coming together to enjoy a welcoming, supportive and inclusive environment.

The sessions have provided children and young people with disabilities and developmental needs the opportunity to take part in fun, engaging activities designed to build confidence, develop skills and encourage social interaction. Alongside this, parents and carers have been able to connect with other families, share experiences and access support from the Sparkle team.

Across the sessions, children have enjoyed a range of activities including sensory play, physical activities, group games and opportunities to explore new experiences in a safe and supportive space. It has been wonderful to see friendships forming, confidence growing and families feeling more connected.

Due to the positive feedback and strong attendance, we’re pleased to be continuing these sessions with three more dates coming up:

Upcoming sessions:

  • Sunday 22nd February, 1pm - 4pm – Pontypool Active Living Centre
  • Sunday 8th March, 1pm - 4pm – Garndiffaith Millennium Hall
  • Sunday 22nd March, 1pm - 4pm – Blaenavon Active Living Centre

These sessions are open to children and young people with disabilities and developmental needs, along with their families, and provide a relaxed space to play, learn and connect.
