Sparkle Tech Club
Sparkle Tech Club supports children and young people aged 8 to 17 with disabilities and/or developmental difficulties, providing a welcoming space where they can build confidence, develop social skills and enjoy technology-based activities with others who share similar interests. Alongside exploring STEM, the sessions encouraged participants to work together, solve problems and grow in confidence in a fun and supportive environment.
The Tech Club's partnership with Techniquest enabled our young people to experience exciting, hands-on science in an accessible and engaging way, with activities adapted to ensure everyone could take part and enjoy the programme. Throughout the sessions, participants explored scientific concepts through practical investigation, discussion and creative challenges, culminating in the achievement of a nationally recognised award.
Tech Club and KLA
We are also incredibly grateful to KLA, a global technology leader, for supporting Sparkle Tech Club. KLA is a global technology company whose innovations help power many of the electronic devices we use every day. Their funding contribution is helping us provide exciting STEM and technology opportunities for young people with disabilities, enabling them to build confidence, creativity and digital skills.

Young people attending Sparkle's Tech Club have celebrated an incredible achievement after successfully completing the nationally recognised CREST Awards programme in partnership with Techniquest.
Following the Easter break, members of Sparkle Tech Club took part in a series of interactive STEM sessions delivered by Techniquest, exploring topics including electricity, energy, light, robotics and more through hands-on experiments, demonstrations and problem-solving activities. The programme concluded with a special awards evening, hosted by Techniquest at the MediCinema in Serennu on Wednesday 9 July, where participants were presented with their CREST Awards.
CREST (Creativity in Science and Technology) is the British Science Association's flagship education programme and the UK's only nationally recognised accreditation scheme for project work in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). The awards encourage young people to investigate real-world challenges through practical learning, creativity and teamwork.
